Money is one of the first things people want straight answers on before they'll even consider booking a job in — fair enough, it's your money. Here's exactly how it works, broken into the three parts of a typical job.
Scaffolding — paid direct to the scaffolders
If your job needs scaffolding, you pay the scaffolding company directly rather than it passing through us. We'll get you a quote from the scaffolders as part of pricing up the job, but the invoice and payment for it are between you and them.
Materials — paid direct to the suppliers
Same principle for materials — tiles, felt, timber, whatever the job needs. You pay the merchant directly, at their price, rather than us buying it and charging you back with a markup added on.
The balance — settled with us once the job's done
The remaining amount, which covers our labour, is what you settle with AMT — and only once the work is actually finished and you're happy with it. No large deposit up front for work that hasn't happened yet.
Why we do it this way
Mainly transparency. You see exactly what scaffolding and materials genuinely cost, rather than a single lump figure with no way of knowing what's labour and what's markup. It also means you're never sat there having paid us most of the job's value before we've actually done most of the job.
What this means for your quote
The price we give you is the price you pay — no hidden extras. It covers our labour and, where scaffolding's needed, that estimate too.
